Research shows that Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) can help children with autism develop better communication, learning readiness, academic, play, social, and daily living skills.
Effective ABA intervention for autism is not a “one size fits all” approach.
An ABA program for one learner will look different from an ABA program for another learner.
The services provided by ABA Connections of PA include:

Individualized Treatment Program
- Each program designed by ABA Connections of PA is customized to each child’s needs and strengths. Data is analyzed on a regular based to assess progress and make modifications as needed.
- Services may be provided in the home, school and community settings, based on the child’s needs.
- Each child’s individualized treatment program may be made up of one or more of the following: Behavior Support Specialist (BSS), Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), Personal Care Assistant-Applied Behavior Analysis (PCA-ABA) and/or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- Our behavior support staff aim to collaborate with other professionals (Speech, Occupational and Psychical Therapists, etc.) working with the child to ensure continuity across all people, settings and environments.
Speech Therapy
- Our speech therapists provide individualized, evidence-based treatment for children with communication needs. The type of intervention your child will receive will be specific to his/her needs. Our team will focus on improving your child’s speech, which includes his/her abilities to understand and express language (including nonverbal language). Our speech therapists will help develop a program that may include any of the following: signs, pictures and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Parent/caregiver training and support
- A main focus of our treatment is to promote independence. Parents/caregivers know their child the best and spend the most time with them outside of therapy. We help teach parents/caregivers effective strategies, provide tools and resources and ongoing support, to give you the confidence to face every day situations (going to a restaurant, getting a haircut, making new friends).
School Trainings and Workshops
- Our professionals can help support students and teachers throughout the year. Workshops/trainings are available on a variety of topics such as: Introduction to ABA, Effective Prompting Strategies, Decreasing Interfering Behaviors and Increasing Replacement Behaviors and Principles of Reinforcement
